Plug in to this series on what it takes for a church to grow from the level that it is currently at to a new level of growth. It takes Leadership Transition.
Dr. Ingolf Schmidt is the Pastor of Christian Faith Center in Leipzig, Germany. He was born in 1958 to athiest parents in the communist country of East Germany. In 1978, as a soldier of the Communist Army, he gave his life to Jesus Christ. Pastor Schmidt founded his church in Communist Germany in 1985 before the Wall came down, but at this point it was not an official church, because it was forbidden by the Communist Government. In 1992 Pastor Schmidt was ordained by Dr. Lester Sumrall. Since that time Pastor Schmidt has maintained a strong traveling ministry, which has led him through Europe, the USA and Asia. He and his wife Angela have been married for 28 years and have 3 Children. He is also operates a fellowship campus in Leipzig, Germany under the covering of the School of Bible Theology Seminary & University, San Jacinto, CA.
I love to hike and backpack, and as I fellowship with the Holy Spirit during our hike, He usually teaches me something from the hike that not only I can use, but that I can bring back and share with others. I recently started puting those things down in blog form. This particular lesson came during a day hike to Dragon's Tooth in Catawba, VA. I hope it ministers to you.

It's 3:12 AM and I should be at home in bed, but I keep putting another worship service on while I'm working and the pull to bask in an atmosphere of worship is stronger than the pull of home and bed. We had one of those truly anointed services here last night. Pastor was ministering on taking the "weirdness" out of praying in tongues and on the importance of regularly praying in the Spirit as we enter this new year, and after the teaching we went into a time of prayer and worship. Those are two words that I have been pairing together a lot lately. I know we usually think of "praise and worship", but over the last several weeks it's been more of what I consider "prayer and worship". That has prompted me to write this post on the power of combing prayer and worship together...
This is a very special word that came forth during a time of corporate prayer and worship and singing in the Spirit during the Wednesday evening service. It is one of two times that Pastor has flowed in this particular anointing of singing a word of prophesy.
This is a word from the Lord that came out during Corporate Prayer Saturday night.
